it is no secret that the secret history is my favorite book of all time. when asked for book recommendations, this is the first title out of my mouth, so i thought it fitting that i write my review of it here.

following a group of classics majors at hampden university in new england, the secret history is the definition of 'dark academia'. when 4 out of 6 of the friends, henry, francis, camilla, and charles, decide to have a bacchanal, something goes horribly wrong. they must cover up a huge secret while keeping to hidden from the other two friends, richard and bunny.

unfortunately, bunny soon finds out this secret and is unable to keep it under the radar. this results in the group confiding in richard, and the ultimate murder of their dear friend, bunny.

the secret history is nothing short of perfection and i would encourage everyone to read it. though some say it is slow at times, i highly enjoyed every single part of this marvelous novel.
